Our Story

The Alachua Community Collective was created by a group of concerned community members who wanted to fill in the gaps in communication about, and access to, resources. The inception was to create a community calendar and resource listing with all the up-to-date mutual aid outreach resources available for Alachua County community members to find in one spot.

There are no corporations, organizations, or 501c3 entities that run this. We know the red tape involved in creating such. That same red tape hinders true community access to resources. Currently, grants and funding are being stripped from states, healthcare, research, municipalities, NGOs, and much more.

The Alachua Community Collective was created in anticipation of there being even more limited resources available, and a way to help each other locate the ones that are or will still be available. The website is paid for and run by volunteers dedicating their time to locating resources for the community they serve.

If you would like to share information about a food pantry, ministry, or organizational outreach events, free or reduced healthcare, or other services available to the community, please reach out to us so we can add this information to the community calendar of events.
