About Mutual Aid
Background and Recommended Reading

Mutual Aid
Mutual Aid occurs when individuals and groups voluntarily come together to exchange resources and services to overcome political, economic, and social barriers. As opposed to charities, mutual aid groups share their resources and services openly with no "means testing" or formal application needed [1]. The basic premise of most mutual aid efforts is "take what you need, leave what you can." A popular slogan is "solidarity, not charity" [2].
